El \u00abcometazo\u00bb <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-74662d812efec40e84e2e1d436fba5c0\" style=\"color:#fed766\">30\u00b0 aniversario del impacto del SL-9 contra J\u00fapiter<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9f20c9a505d731286a74ddcfdcb00fb8\" style=\"color:#fed766\">Por Francisco Galv\u00e1n (18 septiembre 2024)<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-836314ae128a4b75c0ac8d0ac0c9482a\" style=\"color:#fed766\">El Shoemaker-Levy 9 fue un cometa que orbitaba J\u00fapiter e impact\u00f3 con \u00e9l en 1994, proporcionando la primera observaci\u00f3n directa de una colisi\u00f3n extraterrestre entre objetos del sistema solar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d1be0f40393cc16c55c0603aa10d1368\" style=\"color:#fed766\">Eugene Shoemaker fue uno de los fundadores de las ciencias planetarias y el m\u00e1s conocido de los codescubridores del cometa Shoemaker-Levy 9 junto con su esposa Carolyn Jean Spellmann y el astr\u00f3nomo David Levy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-918ea046e2eb387e0545dadd534e4fb0\" style=\"color:#fed766\">Nuestro compa\u00f1ero Paco Galv\u00e1n prepar\u00f3 una sesi\u00f3n consistente en la proyecci\u00f3n del documental \u00abAsteroides, impacto mortal\u00bb de National Geographics. Un c\u00f3ctel dramatizado entre la vida de Eugene Shoemaker, los impactos de meteoritos en la Tierra y la colisi\u00f3n del SL-9 contra J\u00fapiter. Interesante aunque un tanto desactualizada.<br>El documental es de 1997, a\u00f1o en el que muri\u00f3 en Australia Eugene Shoemaker a causa de un accidente de tr\u00e1fico. Algunas de sus cenizas fueron llevadas a la Luna por la sonda espacial <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lunar_Prospector\">Lunar Prospector<\/a>.
